Job Title: General Manager

Reports To: Managing Director, KRONE America LLC.

 

FLSA Status: Exempt

 

Summary: A dynamic leader for the overall operation of store to achieve stated Krone America goals. Leads store personnel of top-rated managers and employees to provide area prospects with best products and services. Develops and implement strategic and tactical plans to grow store’s profit and market share.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Works within and promotes vision, mission, and values of KRONE America.

2. Lead facility in achieving goals by improving efficiency, developing people, and offering premier customer service.

3. Utilize stake-holder colleagues to make business decisions.

4. Identifies and hires top quality candidates when needed for department needs.

5. Supervise both fulltime and part-time operations personnel, lead team meetings.

6. Frequently utilizes oral and written communication skills to interact with staff to better monitor the store’s direction.

7. Effectively leads team and provides ongoing coaching utilizing the performance management system.

8. Adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards.

9. Collaborate with Managing Director on all safety and compliance issues and other locations to improve business efficiencies.

10. Reinforces company branding by meeting or exceeding company location standards including visual appeal, safety, security, and cleanliness. 11. Along with Krone NA’s Sales & Marketing Department develops and executes profit plan to produce budgeted sales volume, margins, and efficiencies; including the monitoring and adjustments of pricing as well as key account selling as needed.

12. Seeks team input to assist to develop and achieve annual budget.

13. Develop yearly business plan and budget with input from Parts & Service managers as well as Region Sales and Service managers.

14. Utilizes sales department’s input and past performance to prepare annual unit forecasting.

15. Achieves targeted market penetration; gains customer retention, competitive conversions, and monthly / annual Volume Sales goals.

16. Creates and implements scheduling for sales, parts, and service.

17. Generates growth through parts and service sales.

18. Maintain inventory and facilitate distribution of products.

19. Collaborates with appropriate management colleagues to ensure new and used inventory turnover targets are achieved.

20. Travels with each salesman to meet Krone America’s customers, the prospects and those loyal to a competitive brand to increase your effectiveness as a team leader and to promote Krone’sbrand.

21. Participates with local service clubs, chambers of commerce and non-profit groups to raise brand awareness and Krone’s company profile.

22. Performs other duties as assigned.

23. Domicile must be located within store(s) area of responsibility.

24. Limited overnight travel and some international travel might be required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Demonstrates strong leadership and the ability to develop others. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and termination, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Paychex payroll systems, DIS/SAP accounting and inventory software and C4C and EDA contact management systems.

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated leadership by managing other people with increasing responsibilities in prior positions.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license Valid US Passport

 

Equipment:

Forklift (certified) and able to operate all equipment at the facility. Has a strong mechanical aptitude.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

Understanding of basic business principles of inventory and contribution to overhead issues. Exhibits solid organizational skills and attention to detail. Exceptional customer service skills and has experience in leading safety and business improvement strategies.
